Defining a Marketing Strategy

We needed to increase traffic and decrease cost per acquisition. In a sea of dull tactical videos and false promises, a touch of humor was just what we needed to stand out from the competition. Once customers saw the brand’s value and passion in our free offerings, we could pique their interest in our paid products. We also broke these down into multiple bite-size videos that were good for shorter ads or carousel videos, depending on the featured platform.

A Day in the Life of an Agency Owner

From dealing with antsy clients to team motivation, running an agency is difficult! To show that someone who had the Certified Partner Program's tools could confidently and assertively deal with the issues many agency owners experience, we created this video. The concept is a "day in the life" of an agency owner.

LAB Sales

It provides deeper insight into the platform and the wide range of benefits it offers customers. DM LAB is all about implementation. To highlight this, we emphasized the premium content, showing the detailed templates, guides, and workshops members receive. Featuring this video resulted in a higher conversion rate among our warm traffic.

A Complete Approach

Using a holistic approach to customer acquisition, we drastically decreased the average cost per trial. After increasing cold traffic and offering more value at the top of the marketing funnel, we could better qualify potential customers. Then, using various hyper-specific retargeting videos, we offered DigitalMarketer’s premium products to these qualified customers.

Who is Ryan Deiss?

For April Fools, DigitalMarketer decided to go B-I-G! We shot a trailer for a fake documentary focused around the idea that DigitalMarketer Founder and CEO, Ryan Deiss, was not a real person at all but a phony company figurehead. It didn’t stop there. We also changed all of our social channels and sent emails to our list to align with the prank. The gag worked.
